Why do I need to Pay for a Consultation?

Invictus Legal LLP charges $113.00 for a 30 minute consultation, including HST.

A consultation is an opportunity for a paralegal or lawyer to assess a prospective client's case. It is also an opportunity for the prospective client to assess their prospective legal team.

How does a consultation work?

A full consultation is broken down into the the following general parts:

  1. The prospective client will share their legal challenge, why they need legal advice, and what happened to them, and why you are coming to Invictus Legal today.
  2. The Partners at Invictus Legal will take the opportunity to read through the highlights of any documents relationg to your legal matter.
  3. The Partners willask questions about your case. Sometimes a deep dive about sections of your file will need to happen.
  4. Invictus will then give you guidance about the legal options you face. Often there are many different choices, If you are defending a matter then the choice is limited.
  5. You, the prospective client will always have an opportunity to ask questions about how we can assist you.

We often have our consultations transcribed through an AI app.

What about a Free Consultation?

Some legal offices provide free consultations, so does Invictus - this is normally part of the initial phone conversation. We listen to what you say, assess the possible options, but without seeing key evidence that we are not likely to be able to assess your legal options. Usually a phone call ends in an appointment for a full consultation, which is a paid consultation.

With a free consultation we can not offer legal advice.

A consultation is an Investment in your case

If you have a legal problem, then you should speak with a professional, either a lawyer or a paralegal. Seek a professional. Don't leave it to chance. Your consultation your first Investment in your case.
